The house is located in a flower harvesting town. It will be the shelter for a retired couple, searching for a peaceful and relaxing place to share with friends and relatives. The 30.000m2 mountainous allotment is divided by a forest of cypress trees, which gives it a special atmosphere.
On the flatter zone of the lot, the project features great mountain visuals to the north and a close relationship with the forest to the east. This closeness with the green mass creates a yard architecture, where one of its sides is totally open. The woods finalize the void.
Yard and woods become the heart of the project, turning the view of the spaces towards them. Each room extends to the exterior in a direct relationship with the environment.
The social area is designed totally permeable, expanding its space towards the mountainous landscape and the yard, one interior-exterior place.
The house aims for austerity and simplicity. It is built with local materials, naked to eye: clay, wood, glass and concrete.
